In August 2015, the independent Oscar selection committee for Short Animated Film will select one short film that will be submitted on behalf of the Netherlands to the Oscars® in the Best Animated Short Film category (of the 88th Academy Awards, ceremony in February 2016).
The committee consists of representatives of the Holland Animation Film Festival (HAFF), the Association for Dutch Animation Producers (VNAP) and KLIK! Amsterdam Animation Festival. EYE International acts as coordinating agency and organizes the film's qualifying screenings in Los Angeles.
