From September 12 to January 17, 2016, EYE will focus on Antonioni (1912-2007), one of the greatest film innovators of the last century. The exhibition shows how Antonioni renewed the film language by thinking from the image and less from the story. As one of the first film authors, he tried to capture the state of mind of his characters in a special framing and striking mise-en-scene. The exhibition contains numerous film fragments, set photos, letters from star actors Alain Delon, Marcello Mastroianni and Jeanne Moreau, and paintings by Antonioni.
