Director Marc Forster (World War Z, Finding Neverland) will adapt a 1956 script by Stanley Kubrick. the Civil War drama Downslope is expected to be a triptych. The beloved filmmaker Kubrick wrote the script after the release of the war film Fear and Desire (1953) and before the First World War drama Paths of Glory (1957). Kubrick is said to have empathized enormously with the subject matter. Forster's project has the full support of the Kubrick family.
