Four years after Maarten Treurniet's 'The Heineken Kidnapping', a second feature film is released about Holleeder's illustrious early years: Kidnapping Freddy Heineken. The international production was shot in Amsterdam, Brussels, Antwerp and New Orleans with local subsidies. Bart van der Put of Het Parool calls the film 'a charade'. Not even Anthony Hopkins can save the film, according to the reviewer.
