The world-famous stairs from Sergei Eisenstein's iconic film Armored Cruiser Potemkin are recognized as European cultural heritage. The European Film Academy announced this on Friday. The EFA awards this title to the stairs on the occasion of the Odessa International Film Festival, which will take place from 10 to 18 July 2015. Director Sergei Eisenstein made his masterpiece Battleship Potemkin ninety years ago at the port of Odessa on the Black Sea. The stairs are without a doubt one of the most famous film locations in the world.
